Paris is one of the most expensive cities in the world for luxury real estate though prices vary depending on Arrondissement. More than half of Parisian' apartments have only one or two bedrooms and 55% were build before 1949. Prices per square meter can vary from a high 13,520€ for the most expensive Arrondissement (the 6th) to 6,770€ for the least expensive (the 19th).
Paris is a town with a very efficient public transportation system. It has 14 subway lines, more than 60 bus lines (including night and tourist schedules). 5 rapid train lines RER (A to E) connecting Paris' suburbs to the heart of the city and 5 train stations connecting the suburbs as well as the rest of France and Europe beyond. Paris also has two international airports. Finally, for the courageous among us, one can rent a bike (Velib') in many parts of town with easy pick up and drop off built into the system.
