The 12th arrondissement
The 12th arrondissement of Paris is mainly a residential district with few historical monuments. Near Bastille, you can find the New Opera inaugurated in 1989. It's the district of Nation and Bercy quarters. This new neighborhood extends beyond the sports hall Palais Omnisport of Bercy and the Ministry of Finances with many new buildings and big parks. The Bois de Vincennes (woods of Vincennes) belongs to the 12th arrondissement. It also houses the railway station Gare de Lyon which serves south of France, Switzerland and Italy. Hospitals of the district : Hôpital des Quinze-vingt, Hôpital Saint Antoine, Hôpital Trousseau, Hôpital de Rothschild.
Most buildings are from the 19th and 20th century.
The purchase price of m² is currently around 9 000 €.
